Vuciq says Kosovo flag removed at his request yesterday in Istanbul

Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has spoken of yesterday's inauguration ceremony at Istanbul's new airport, the ceremony in which his Kosovo counterpart Hashim Thaci and chief diplomat Behgjet Pacolli attended.

Vuciq has said the Kosovo flag has been removed in Istanbul at his request.

Vuciq, addressing reporters after meeting with Kosovo Serbs, has said he saw representatives of Kosovo institutions Hashim Thaci and Behgjet Pacolli yesterday.

I once stayed away from them seven meters. I wanted the Kosovo flag taken off, and this has become”, he said, adding that he has not spoken to Thaci and Pacolli.

He has shown hope that talks with Kosovo will continue because they have to be held.
