Many people feel sleepy on rainy days. But is there any scientific explanation for this, as it is a widespread phenomenon among many people?

Not sleeping properly

A study conducted by the Sleep Lab at Rochester University has shown that in the rainy nights people don't sleep much. Therefore, in the rainy nights you do not sleep much, and when you wake up, if there is still rain, you will feel sleepy and tired.

Many melatonins

Melatonin is the hormone that helps your body adjust sleep and wake up circuit. The more your body produces this hormone, the more tired you will feel. When you eat food, you produce seratonia, but the sun's rays in the production of this hormone play a major role. So when there is less sun, the brain produces less serotonin, which leads to feeling depressed and lacking motivation. That is why you are a little lazy, a little sleepy in rainy days.
