Minister Shala with two important decisions within the week

Trade and Industry Minister Andrew Shala has proposed at the meeting of the Council for Intellectual Property, which has been approved by majority of votes.

Minister Shala has stressed that this council will provide assistance to institutions, including the implementation of intellectual property rights.

With my proposal, at the Government meeting we have made a decision to establish the Council for Intellectual Property. The establishment and empowerment of this council has also been defined as criteria for the implementation of the SAA.

This council will provide assistance to government institutions and other actors involved in implementing intellectual property rights, will also help build capacities and draft policies in the intellectual property field”, Minister Shala has said. Also with the initiative of Minister Shala, the initiative for launching negotiations on reaching the bilateral agreement for promotion and protection of investments between the Republic of Kosovo and Hungary has been adopted in the government. The achievement of this agreement will offer additional legal security to investments and investors on both sides, and at the same time expresses our institutions' readiness to promote and protect foreign investment, and in particular foreign investment coming from Hungary.
