The Kosovo government is expected to have 2 billion euros of next year's 370m euros available.
12.5 per cent, or 261m euros more than in last year's budget.
Finance Minister Bedri Hamza has said this draft envisions economic growth to be 4.7 per cent in 2019, KTV reports.
The budget expenditures will be worth 2 billion and 365m euros, representing an increase of 261m euros, or 12.5 per cent more than the 2018 budget. Under the expenditures, according to the economic categories we have this budget, we have planned growth of 13 per cent of current expenditures, where goods and expenditures rise by 27 per cent, or 72m euros, reflecting the subsonic growth undertaken for Kosovo municipalities, about 10 million increases for essential drugs and other health spending, and over 20m euros we have addressed the audience's remarks on accumulated problems for 20 years, as a classification case. Subventions and transfers will increase by 16 per cent, or 83m euros, where more than 30 million are dedicated to increasing basic and contributing pensions ... cannot the Government of Kosovo deliver better news for the category that is more in need, for Kosovo pensioners, than the 15 per cent increase in contributing pensions and 20 per cent increase for basic pensions”, he said.
The increase in basic pensions of 20 per cent and those of contributors of 15 per cent has been envisioned.
While, priorities for Government will be protection, health, education and the environment.
<x0 think-tanks responsible for the rule of law sector and defence receive additional financial support of 6 per cent compared to the 2018 budget, reaching and spending for the first time 200m euros for this sector, not including future implications from the Pagan Law that further prioritize this sector. Compared to the expenses of 2017, we have made available funds of 30m euros or 17 per cent more”, he said.
While Government head Ramush Haradinaj said the “really is a confirmation, so that we are entering a future financial year with clear projections and priorities are also clear”.
So, it is seen that priority or priority of defence, order, judiciary, is health, education, pensions. Based on all that we heard from you, so I think we can confirm Kosovo, not only a budgetary stability, but also a respect for all mutually agreed priorities during government time and during the time of identifying these priorities”, he said.
Kosovo Security Force Minister Rrustem Berisha has demanded that the KSF's budget increase by 5 per cent annually, which was supported by Minister Hamza.
The Board Bill has received the approval of all ministers and is expected to be discussed in the Assembly.
