Kosovo Olympic champion Majlinda Kelmendi, has returned from injury in the most impressive and inspiring manner possible, reaching the final of Grand Slam Abu Dumi on Saturday, her first since the 14-month-long injury.
Kelmendi in the semifinals defeated British Chelsie Giles by winning Ippon in the category - 52 kg.
This means Kosovo has secured at least the silver medal from this tournament, but in the final for gold it will fight against Italian Odette Giuffrieda.
In the meantime, Nora Gjakova has also passed to the finals of Abu Dhabi in the category - 57 kg.
The district, on the other hand, will fight for a spot in the finals in its semi-final duel against Paula Paretos from Argentina.
