A woman in Australia has been arrested after receiving $55,000 from a fundraising site, cheating on cancer.
Lucy Wieland used social networks to show some false ovarian cancer treatment documents.
It opened an account in “Gound Me” to seek financial help because it did not meet the high cost of treatment.
The 27-year-old fraud was discovered by a person who would donate money.
Police said they have committed violations of public trust. Its images on social networks include medical devices such as oxygen masks and crutches.
It's not clear who's next to her in the picture and if someone helped her commit this fraud.
Its sentence will be issued in December, as investigations are still under way.
