In the third quarter of 2018, the number of passengers who used the train as a travel tool in Kosovo was 33 thousand, compared to the same period last year, where the number of passengers increased by 41.90%, has announced Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) in its newest report on air transport, railway, road, and telecommunications.
Transporting goods by train in the third quarter of 2018 was 93 thousand tons, compared to the same period last year, where there is a decline of 35.60%, until the number of flights marked an increase of 6.63%.
The number of travelers who used the plane as a travel tool in this quarter was about 721 000, in relation to the same quarter of last year, where there is an increase of 11.81%.
The ASK reports that based on Eurostat's request, starting in the second quarter of this year, publication has undergone several changes in the telecommunications part, including data from other operators, in order to cover all telecommunications services offered in our country.
