From a stranger to Rome's rescuer. From a future star to a national hero. Turku Cengiz Underer has already taken on an important role in the Turkish national and his team, writes Periscope.
Currently, he is seen as the leading player who can get Rome out of trouble, along with experienced Bosnian Edin Dzeko.
But, while Dzeko's career is gone for wool, because he's become 30-year-old changer, that's just begun.
He is only 21 years old, and is being sought by all European top clubs, including Real Madrid and Beyern Munchen. So far, at 31 matches in Serie A has scored 8 goals, while for Turkey in 10 matches it has reached four goals.
Underer had received great support from the Turkish government and President Erdogan after two goals for Rome towards Beneventos had made Turkish military salutes by pointing to his political orientation.
The greeting was also seen as support for the Turkish offensive against the Kurdish enclave in northern Syria.
The day after that, Minister of Sports and Youth Osman Askin Buck had written on Twitter: “There is no need for explanation” with a picture of the Underry with that greeting. /Periscopi
