Harry Evans, 23, is the first son to be killed by reptiles in Auschwitz. He was bitten by the snake while drawing a net from the Groote Island of Eyland.
His mother confessed to The Sun how Harry lost his life in the wrong time and place.
He was spending the best days of his life. He was spending time fishing. I got a call Thursday morning from the ship's captain and I knew something was wrong. We heard they were pulling fishing nets and a water snake bit them. Harry was in the wrong place at the wrong time. At first, they thought it was a scratch, but then they saw him fall to the ground unconscious. When people get bitten by a snake, they usually get sick, but that didn't happen to Harry/he showed no signs that he was sick”, said 48-year-old.
Harry's friend had no problem, he just took a shower and put an anti-commercial substance on the bite. The family believes that he may have had an allergic reaction to the wounds he received on his thumb.
