A couple divorced four years ago, but apparently their love for each other never died.
Charlie and Audrey Hailes, 88 and 83, remarriage last week after four decades of separation.
The couple married at The Manor Gatehouse in Dartford on Wednesday (October 10th), sharing the special day with their six children.
Of course, it was not an easy journey to get to that point.
They first met at a dance hall in Peckham in 1955 before marrying and starting a family.
But they divorced in 1978. Young children were separated from their parents, and older ones began to establish their own families.
Their older son, Ian, 47, said it was a mistake for his father to end the marriage after his mother did not forgive him.
Neither of them was happy after the breakup, and it was something their children noticed. So after Audrey's second husband died, the children intervened to reunite them.
We told the father he was unhappy and why not live with his mother,”- Shroom Ian.
