A plane of the Indonesian flight company, “Linon Air” has crashed into the sea along with 188 people aboard, after leaving Indonesia's capital, Jakarta.
The plane was reported to have lost control just a few minutes after it was launched and is believed to have ended up underwater.
The causes of the crash are still unknown, and there is no record of survival.
The plane was a type, “Boeing 737 MAX 8” and is described as the new type of this transport device.
“Aeroplane has been flooded in depth of 30-40m in water”, said the Agency for Research and Rescue spokesman. “And we're looking for the remains of the plane”, he said.
Meanwhile, some personal passenger items have been found in the water. At a conference held after the incident, officials suggested that 178 adults were on the plane, one child, two babies, two pilots and five other members of the team.
However, there are various reports concerning the number of people who have been on board.
