Wessel: We have great capacity for information technology.

The chairman of the Republic of Kosovo, Kadri Wessel, has attended the international conference on information technology, which this year has addressed the “theme. Cyberattacks and privacy”.

The head of the Parliament said Kosovo has talented youth with innovative ideas, which will be supported to exploit the information technology sector as the country's economic development potential.

“The direct national interest is that the potential and passion of our young people for IT can be converted into IT industry, which then not only creates jobs for our young people, but also enables them to create jobs for the rest of the”, said Chief Prime Minister Veseli.

He stressed that in the field of information technology, many talented boys and girls and Kosovo institutions have been activated, as Chief Prime Minister Wessel said, will help them to develop this sector even more.

I met very talented boys and girls in this field. I have visited various very successful technology companies, and I have been fascinated with their knowledge and success. Seeing this, it was my insistence on establishing the Ministry of Innovation. This dictatorship is dedicated only to you and through its budget you will rely on your own ideas. But this will not be the only form of support. We will continue to support all of your initiatives even in different forms, which include as many young people as possible in our country, who are of particular interest in our country”, said Chief Prime Minister Veselin.

During his speech at this conference, Chief Prime Minister Wessel also spoke of cyber security.
