The students had warned that in case of failure to review this decision, protests would also be staged. But those on Saturday have met with the country's prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, who has promised increased stock market numbers, KTV reports.
Haradinaj has deemed the decision of the University of Pristina Steering Council “Hasan Pristina” unfair, for reducing the value of the scholarship that is shared for students distinguished from 900 euros to 500 euros.
Haradinaj guaranteed the students that he will do whatever is in his competence and the Kosovo government to offer due support to all students, stressing that during his mandate, education will be a priority for Government.
The decision to reduce the stock market. I guarantee that there will be no reduction of exchanges, rather, together with the Education Ministry, we will review opportunities and other forms for this amount to increase”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said.
Meanwhile, educational affairs connoisseur Dukagjin Pupovci says he has not liked the idea to reduce student scholarships in the first place.
Students have said reducing the number of scholarships will significantly influence the motivation of distinguished stock exchange students.
