For one more member of the Commission, the complete competition for Scientist of the Year and New Scientist of 2017 was cancelled, which would have to be completed by the end of last year.
In the commission that deals with the winners' selectors for these awards, it would legally have to be 7 members, while currently there are 8.
Valmir Gashi, political adviser to Education Minister Shyqih Bytyqi, has indicated that even this issue is inherited.
But Gashi doesn't know when the new contest will open, just like you don't know if this Commission will be dissolved or only the extra member will leave.
For scientists of the Year and New Scientist of 2017, the competition was opened on November 15th and would have to be completed in 15 days, among other procedures each contestant had to have recommendations from other scientists or scientific research institutions.
The winner of the Scientist Award of the Year would receive 2,000 euros, while for the first time it was envisioned that the next prize, the New Scientist of the Year, was to be divided by three persons worth about 1,000 and 500 euros each.
