Thaci appoints 21 state prosecutors

The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, in support of constitutional and legal competencies, in accordance with the Prosecutorial Council proposal, has by decree appointed 21 new state prosecutors today, to Kosovo's founding prosecutors.

nominated prosecutors took their oath before President Thaci, with whom they pledged to carry out the prosecutor's office with honor, responsibility and impartiality.

The head of state, congratulating new prosecutors for the new post, has demanded that they carry out this task with high responsibility.

I wish you success in your new responsibilities. You must fulfil your obligations in accordance with the laws and Constitution of Kosovo”, adding that “Consolidating rule of law should be a top priority. In this direction you have my full support” President Thaci said.

He said that now when we are on the eve of the country's 10th anniversary of independence, greater commitment is needed to strengthen rule of law.
