The psychologist team has published the study in the magazine íFood Quality and PreferencesWhile the study included 50 students in their 20th years.
Psychologists had analyzed their cognitive and creative skills through various tests.
On the first test, students had to create a building with blocks of different shapes and sizes, and on the second test they had to find a creative name for a restaurant.
Their results were then analyzed by experts who had not participated in the investigation.
According to them, students who had consumed tea on regular daily bases had consistently had higher grades of creativity on both tests.
According to the results of the study, consumption of tea before complex tasks enhances cognitive skills in people. However, this does not mean that those who drink tea become more creative. Tea contains substances that relax the brain, and when people are relaxed they are more prone to exploit their capacity.
