Slovenia threatens EU's reopening pandora box if it does not calm Croatia

The current MP in the European Parliament warned the European Union that otherwise it would be possible “to open Pandora's box in the Balkans”.
If the European Commission does not take a clear stand now, it is possible that it will face the reopening of Pandora's box in the Balkans, which will surely affect the European perspective of Western Balkan countries”, he warns, stressing that only law enforcement can ensure peace.
Peterle said this in a letter sent to European Parliament President Antonio Tayan, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and European Council President Donald Tusk, reports “b92”, Periscopi broadcast.
“6 months after the mandatory arbitration ruling, the court's decision has not yet been implemented, which is disturbing not only in Slovenia, but instead of respecting international laws, we testify to the new politicisation and the showing of a new nationalism”, he said through a letter.
Peterle, once Slovenia's foreign minister, stresses that Croatia has unresolved border disputes with some neighbours and remembers that, after reaching the agreement, this state is cited as an example of resolving neighbourly disputes between European politicians and legal experts.
The letter warns that there has been a political will that ignores laws and threatens international peace, especially in terms of the threat of Croatia's civil occupation in Slovenia, and expresses doubt that civil pressure can replace what state institutions are forced to do./Periscopi/
