Serbia Army Colonel Arrested for Abuse of Official Task

A member of the Serbian Armed Forces, Colonel V.S. was arrested after having abused official office and had exerted influence on trade.

Military police, in co-operation with the Ministry of Defence Military Security and the Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, have conducted a police operation during which several persons have been arrested due to reasonable suspicion that they have committed criminal acts of trafficking in the impact and misuse of the official position, according to a statement by Serbia's Defence Ministry, reports <x0Vestinet”, Periscopi broadcast.

The move was carried out under the orders of competent prosecutors in Belgrade and Novi Sad.

After months of commitment and collection of evidence, a member of the Serbian Army was arrested, Col. V.S. which has been detained for up to 48 hours, after which he will be charged with criminal charges by the competent prosecutor./Periscopi/
