LDK MP Ramiz Kelmendi, formerly owner of the company “Elkos”, is being charged by the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina, that during 2011, he has committed the criminal work “serious returns”.
He is currently accused of stealing electricity, where he owns “Elkos”, according to the prosecution, has damaged the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), in the amount of 22.801.19 euros.
As reported Justice VowThe prosecution claims that after KEK workers have gone to his company, they have noted that Kelmendi has unauthorizedly exploited electricity, not registering two-thirds of the energy.
In this regard, the former deputy prime minister of Kosovo on Monday has appeared at the dock at the Constitutional Court in Pristina.
Otherwise, at the initial session, held on December 21, 2017, accused Ramiz Kelmendi was declared innocent.
According to the indictment of December 12th 2012, which has provided “Justice Vow”, Kelmendi is charged with serious criminal activity “serious recovery”, due to the suspicion that from unproved date until June 30th 2011, the company “Elkos”, in Fushe Kosova, Kelmen's property has been misusing electricity.
The prosecution claims that when KEK workers have gone to do searches at that company, they have found that the intended defendant has been unauthorizedly exploiting electricity, as two transformatators of the current that have been out of measure have been found, while one component was cut off from the connection.
On the basis of the indictment, with these actions, two-thirds of the electricity had not been registered, with what KEK has done damages worth 22.801.19 euros.
