The called protest is against, as they say, “bilinguality and Albanianisation of Macedonia”.
According to them, bilingual is the loss of Macedonian state character and that the state itself loses. They charge that with bilingual Macedonia becomes the third Albanian state in the Balkans, writes “Zhurnal”.
Meanwhile, VMRO- The DPMNE has reacted to the writings in the media regarding its Albanian-language leader's objections.
In this party's response yesterday to the media, Hristian leader Mickovski is not against Albanians, but that the Law on Languages is not constitutional and that it harms Macedonians, Albanians, but also other ethnicities.
“Declaration regarding the Law for Languages is provided on the basis of tests on the damage this legal act can bring, as well as on the ratio of non-reparability, and on the risk of co-ordination in the Republic of Macedonia. This Law will definitely not benefit Albanians, while it will cause significant financial implications. This Law is non-religious, changes state character and is difficult to implement. This will have consequences for institutions and countries not to be funskional, such as Macedonians, Albanians, Turks, Roma and all citizens living in Macedonia need functional institutions”, VMRO's response said.
