But MPs, mostly PDK signatories, have declined to issue statements on the issue.
Xhavit Haliti has said that since he is not the signatory of this initiative he does not want to speak, while MP Bekim Haxhiu says he does not want to issue a statement because he is on vacation.
Outside the country is Parliamentary Group chief Memli Krasniqi, while deputy Elmi Recica, Xhevahire Izzak, Blerta Deliu and other MPs have not opened the phone.
The only one who has spoken from the PDK is MP Nezir Chocaj. But he has said that since the Parliament is on leave, the MP group has not yet been met.
“We are on holiday we haven't met with the MP group and we haven't consulted on this matter”, Kocaj said.
While PDK deputies had voted in favour of the law in 2015, while now have changed their stance, the AAK's are committed against the Special Law.
AAK MP Time Kadriaj said the AAK has not changed position despite requirements from the EU and the US.
She said the MP initiative is legal and it must go to the Assembly to vote for or against.
As for the withdrawal of the initiative, as the EU office Kadriaj has requested, there is no comment, as she said they have not yet spoken to MPs, but this too remains in the hands of the initiator.
We're just signatory, whether or not I don't have a comment because it's not up to us. The initiative is fully legal, and we, as we have always opposed the formation of the Special Court, now support the initiative to abolish. We have not changed our” position, Kadriaj said.
