Two monkeys are the first to have been cloned using the technique that created the Dolly Delette.
The technique brings the prospect that cloning even human beings is much closer. But scientists warn that there can be no good reason to create such clones, and that ethnic and legal issues should be answered for such research.
This laboratory technique allows for the cloning of genetically identical monkeys.
Two same monkeys from the length and many other things, called Zong Zing and Hua Hua, were born eight months ago in a laboratory in China.
They represent the highest extent of cloning technology that is completely similar to one another.
The Indepedent reported that they are the first cloned and produced using the technique of the single nuclear transfer of cells (SCNT), which includes the transfer of DNA, the cell core into a donated egg cell, which then stimulates the development of an embryo and is the same process used for putlly sheep.
The previous work is said to be based on the division of embryos, which is the same phenomenon that happens when twins are born and can produce only four offspring.
Scientists even say that it might be easier to clone a person, says scientists. But this certainly continues to be less possible because of opposition to ethics and regulations that prevent such a plan from being followed.
Scientists say they will continue to follow the growth of two cloned monkeys and that they expect to continue cloning others in the coming months.
