Albanian-language portal “Theme” has indicated that in the option are the names “Republic Macedonia new”, “Republic of northern Macedonia”, “Republic of Macedonia Quarme”, “Republic of Macedonia Vardar”, and “Republic of Macedonia (Skopje)<11>
Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev has voiced confidence Friday that several-year disagreement with Greece over Macedonia's name will end “in a dignified and satisfactory manner for both sides” Athens and Skopje, reports Al-Jazeera, present today Koha Ditore.
“I see that a transparent process is under way, we seek national consensus, and when the situation solutions, we will confirm it with referendum”, the Macedonian government's chief said.
He has added that the name issue is a condition for Macedonia's NATO membership and that he hopes that this Balkan state could receive the call to become the 30th member of the Atlantic Alliance this year.
Secretary - General NATO, Jens Stoltenber, has been staying on Thursday for visit to Macedonia, has ordered authorities in Skopje that there is room at NATO headquarters for the flags of new member states, adding that it wants Macedonia to go out and have its flag in front of Alliance headquarters.
