The chairman of this commission, Vjosa Osmani, has confirmed that on January 15th she will call the commission's meeting to vote on the agreement in order to meet the legal deadlines.
On the other hand, days earlier the prosecution has confirmed that it has launched investigations concerning claims that the past state-run border demarcation Commission, led by Murat Meha, may have forged maps handed out for demarcation with Montenegro.
State Prosecutor's officials have indicated that the state prosecutor has initiated investigations into all the claims submitted, and if elements of any criminal conduct pursued under official duty are found to take appropriate legal actions.
The Kosovo Assembly will not proceed to vote on the draft Demarcation Bill with Montenegro until it is answered by the Prosecutor.
The State Attorney has confirmed it. RTK's that the investigation is in the phase of verifications of the allegations filed.
Through an electronic response, state prosecutor officials have indicated that the prosecutor will verify all preemptive evidence and if elements of any criminal conduct followed under official duty are found to take appropriate legal action.
