US launches military troops towards Kosovo

70 troops of the California National Military Guard have been launched by San Diego this Tuesday for Kosovo under peacekeeping operations.
The 79th infantry Brigade team will lead the rotation of 24 American troops in Kosovo, within NATO that has been in defence since the 1999 war with Serbia, writes Sandiegoontribonne, Kosovo is watching.
The mission is expected to last a month, including stops in Texas and Germany, before soldiers enter Kosovo.
It is said to be the first American troop mission in the last nine months in the Balkans.
The guard is estimated to be joining another 30 troops from California before the unit enters Kosovo.
