Kosovo police report that during 2017 alone, they have closed dozens of accounts on social networks, where such ideologies spread.
Police spokesman Daut Hoxha said in a conversation with America's voice that the cyber crimes department and the anti-terrorism department are constantly co-operating to uncover and prevent such ideas on the internet.
Kosovo's “Police and other institutions in time have identified the threat posed by the use of the internet and its services on the part of extremist and terrorist groups, and has taken measures to identify persons and groups involved in these activities. So monitoring is done, and in this context the police in co-ordination with the authorities have closed tens of accounts on social networks. According to data that we have cases related to cybercrime only during the year we are leaving behind over 40 such cases and based on legal procedures all acts of completion and prosecution of these cases in the prosecutor or other law bodies”, Hoxha has said.
