The Kosovo government has declined to speak about “the return of victory”, held at the Prizren mosque, under the organisation of the Kosovo Islamic Community and the Headship of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey (Diyanet).
The “Victory Prayer” was made in Prizren, in support of Turkey's Armed Forces, which have now launched operation “Dega of Willir” against Kurdish positions in Syria's Africa region.
In this regard, the Government has only issued a general statement saying that the government is against any instigation of hatred.
“The government of the Republic of Kosovo is dedicated to peace and stability worldwide and against any instigation of hatred and involvement of Kosovo citizens, in conflicts outside the country”, it is said, in response that the Government has sent Kosovas to Kosovo.
According to an Anadolu Agency report, this has been conducted in the organisation of the Islamic Community of Kosovo and the Headship of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey (Diyanet).
According to the AA, the country's citizens, representatives of civil society organisations, as well as Turkish soldiers in Kosovo, have prayed for soldiers to achieve victory in the operation launched by the Turkish Armed Forces.
The “victory prayer” was performed after the week's prayer with the reading of El-Fethʹ. The programme is led by Mustafa Tombaş, who is representative of Diynet and imam at the Sinan Pasha mosque in Prizren.
Turkey's ambassador to Pristina, Kıvılqım Kılıc and Turkey's consul general in Prizren, Eylem Altunya, has also been present in this programme.
