Kosovo's Archbishop today has made the presentation of Papa Francescu's Peace Message 2018 on the topic of “Mdjegrants and refugees: men and women seeking peace” in the Kosovo Bishop's Department.
Caritas General Director Don Victor Sopi has made the presentation of the message, saying Pope Francescu has focused his service on human rights realisation, in particular the refugees.
According to him, the European Agency for Management the Co-operation of EU Member States reports energized figures of refugees arranged in Europe in recent years, mainly from the Middle East.
He said that according to these data concerns the fate of over a million immigrant persons in Europe.
In our day when we remember more than 250 million immigrants in the world, of whom are 22 and a half million refugees, many risk their lives on uncertain, long, dangerous journeys with various difficulties. Early sufferings to reach deStination where they feel they will be free. However, the causes of escape are always their discrimination, persecution, poverty and freedom of course towards the path of ideals that individuals or people take for the purpose of life”, Sopi said in the message given by Pope Francis.
Among other things, it is said that all peoples are of a human family and have equal rights. In Papa Francescu's message, migrants and refugees do not behave with empty hands, they bring the high treasure of their culture and spiritual wealth.
Sopi finally said that the pope requires that world governments should build bridges, not walls, because migrants' thirst for freedom still have to rely on equal ways.
“By performing its maturity work, governments must take practical steps”, the Pope says. Moved to protect and find suitable ways for their integration. Points two, the high number of refugees and immigrants before the great jubilee, marking the two millenniums of the proclamation of angelic peace, the Holy Pope today John Paul II pointed to the growing number of refugees during the 20th century as a result of the endless and terrible order of wars, conflicts, genocide, ethnic cleansing, and John Paul II in his message on Peace Day in Jubilard 2000, said: Armed conflicts and other forms of organised violence continue to cause people to move within national and wider borders. In many countries where refugees are located, the rhetoric in which danger is highlighted, national uncertainty”, Sopi said in reading the message.
As for Kosovo Archbishop Dode Gjergji, on this occasion, has said that this year the Pope has chosen to join a great deal of world society, which is refugees, because the first of which are human and must be dealt with in a human way.
Our country also needs peace and true peace because we are not denied the right to realize peace and freedom in our country, but we are denied the opportunity to make virtues or fruits of peace without the responsibility of many in this country. Especially should we not think that peace can be built by killing people, like it was these days, or by denying someone's right to live. Hence, true peace springs from a pure heart”, George said.
While, Aziz Pollozhani, rector at Mother Teresa University in Southeast Europe, has talked about the issue of education about treatment of migrants and refugees.
