Bill Gates: This is my favorite book of all time (Video)

Pinker uses punctual research to argue that we are living in the most peaceful time in human history. I've never seen such a progressive explanation.
I stopped reading “Better Angels”, because Pinker managed to outdo himself. His new book “Enlightment Now” is even better, reports “gates”, Periscope broadcast.
“Enlightenment Now” takes the attention used on “Better Angels” to track violence throughout history and implement it in 15 different measures of progress (such as quality of life, knowledge and security).
The result is a general picture of how and why the world can become better.
Pinker was generous to send me an early copy, even though “Enlightenment Now” will not be sold until the end of February. I read the books slowly since I started to love them, but I think people need to take some time to get in touch with reading.
The world is improving, even if it doesn't always feel that way. I'm glad we have brilliant thinkers like Steven Pinker to help us see a bigger picture. “Enlightment Now” is not just the best book ever written by Pinker.
It's my favorite book of all time. /Periscopi/
