Doctors warn strike, demand salaries like government, prosecutors, judges

Doctors of the Abdominal Surgery Klinky from tomorrow will go on strike. So confirmed for Gazeta Express, Clinical Director Rifat Bajrami on Sunday. The main request of the clinic doctors remains to raise wages.

Bajrami has said that the requests of Klinka doctors he runs have nothing to do with politics.

I believe tomorrow we will start the strike as planned. Our clinic is going on strike. We haven't asked other clinics to join us on strike. We have expressed our attitudes. It's just a raise in salaries. There is no political overtones”, Bajrami has said of Epixes.

He has clarified that, although on strike, Abdominales doctors will continue to handle emergency cases.

“We will handle emergency cases of patients. The maintenance teams that are will not be reduced. Emergency currently not affected”, Bajrami said.

He says the Kosovo Clinical Hospital Service is also aware of their demands.

The staff of this clinic weeks ago has prepared a request for salary growth, which it addressed to the USKKUK, the Ministry of Health and the Office of the Prime Minister. So far they have received no answers.

Meanwhile, in addition to doctors, salary increases in the country will include prosecutors and judges, as well as administrative officials. There will be a total of 700 such officials whose salaries will be raised.

The salary for all state officials from February will not be less than 1,000 euros and 400 euros. As long as a doctor in CKUK is paid nothing more than 600 euros.

And when Prime Minister Haradinaj was asked about the low wages of doctors and whether they corrupt with these salaries, Haradinaj had said that the dignified salary makes it difficult to position, life and function.

But the prime minister had forgotten that doctors paid 5-fold less than him.

“Vlen for all of us, undignified wages make it difficult to position, life, functioning”, he said.

Haradinaj said his position is much more important than that of doctors.

The responsibility of those managing the country is high and their integrity must be preserved. One of us can be stable. I'm not saying I've been vulnerable because I've got a few more revenues. Today it is me, tomorrow there is someone else, one must preserve the integrity of institutions, and also of doctors”, Haradinaj has indicated.
He has said that the 5 percent increase in wages for doctors has begun, and he feels that there will be another increase.

On the other hand, unionists have warned protests and strikes if their demands are not met, including the 15 percent increase in salaries.
