Hawaii Governor David Ige failed to avoid moments of horror for citizens caused by a false reminder of ballistic missiles from North Korea, as he did not know the password in his Twitter account to inform citizens that the alarm was false.
The case occurred on January 13th and spread widely to the world's media, as a messiah advising citizens to be vigilant by a ballistic missile and called on them to seek refuge caused panic among Hawaii's residents.
It took more than half an hour for officials to withdraw false warning sent incorrectly and to assure terrified residents that there was no danger.
Alarm withdrawal could have happened much faster if the Governor made a tweet.
Ige was aware of the false warning just two minutes after appearing on residents' phones, according to the newspaper <x0Honolulu Star-Advertizer”. However, the governor acknowledged that he cannot enter social media to address the situation immediately after he could not recall the password for his Twitter account.
