China becomes the world's first country to clone two monkeys

Using the process that created the Dolly sheep, the transfer of DNA, researchers say it can produce genetically uniform monkeys for human disease research, reports “Sky News” Transmission Periscope.

Makaka monkeys Jong Zong and Hua Hua were born at the Chinese Neurological Science Academy Institute in Shanghai using The DNA from the cells in the fetal connector tissue.

After that, the DNA was transferred to the egg, to the genetic reprogram that is used to go into or out of genes, which otherwise would have crushed the development of the embryo.

Study chief Dr. Qiang Sun said “We tried different methods, but only one worked. There were many failures before we could clone monkeys successfully. ”
