The World's Oldest Pande Dies

The world's oldest giant captive Panda is dead, according to its guards in China's South East Fuzhou province.

At the age of 37, Bass had survived all of her panda friends, reaching the equivalent of more than a hundred in human years.

The giant pandas are considered symbols of China and are highly protected. But they are no longer endangered, after decades of conservation work, the Kosovo Press broadcasts.

Called after a saved valley, Basi had lived in the tent object since he was four or five years old.
