Ukrainian prosecutor Yuri Lutsenko has said that investigators are acting on a theory under which sabotagers may have used an explosive lens to trigger mass explosion and fire in Ukraine's ammunition depot. Investigators do not believe any fears were involved in the explosion this week [...]
Investigators do not believe any fears were involved in this week's explosion in Ukraine, Lutsenko told the TV channel Inter.
“We have no evidence that there were air equipment involved in Kalinivka, but we have all the facts that a explosive substance caused the” explosion, he said.
Lutsenko said Ukraine, earlier in the year, had discovered a plane that investigators believe caused a massive explosion and fire on March 23rd at a military base in Balakliya.
“We're looking at all signs of sabotage... we've discovered a pilot-free air vehicle at the Russo-Ukrainian border, which triggered the explosion in Balakliya. Therefore, this is an act of sabotage on the part of Russia, which is destroying our military capacities”, Lutsenko said.
According to Ukrainian authorities, expropriated by the attack on Kalinivka, they are allowed to return to their homes, despite continuing the bombings in the ammunition depot, however authorities say these pose no danger to residents.
