“Spain does not recognise Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence, nor its citizenship, so this makes it impossible for Spanish athletes to attend the sports event organised by them. If anyone participates, he cannot represent Spain or compete with the flag of Spain. And if represented, then success would simply be individual, since it does not have the authorization of the High Sports Council and MPJ”, the Spanish media say.
The weightlifting championship has started Saturday and will last until September 30th.
