My life has been a long fight. My husband died 25 years ago, and since then I've been begging on the streets of my village to survive. My two daughters are married, so I had no one to support me, Alzeera” reported, broadcast Periscopi.
One night I woke up under the crack of weapons and explosions, and they were so loud that I couldn't handle it. I haven't been able to sleep since I still hear those noises in my head.
Everyone was leaving, so I decided to leave with them. It took me two days to get to Bangladesh, I had a hard trip because I couldn't walk without a stick. During my walk no one accompanied me even though there were a lot of people going to Bangladesh. I had heard that Myanmar's army had boats that patrolled the river, so I was very scared when I crossed by ship.
Although I am now in Bangladesh, I am still afraid that Myanmar's army will come. But I'm happier now, as I can't hear the noises of weapons and bombings.
I feel like the outside world is very supportive and that makes me feel good. I want everyone to hear our story, I want the whole world to hear our pain. We have no future; our lives are hopeless. /Periscopi/
