My fiancée was 22 years old when she was diagnosed with cancer, metastases had also touched her lungs.
We were both students of the Gurakuqit League that black year. When we learned the bad news, I could not believe that there were only four months of life.
I became her guardian night and day. The pain I felt instead of defeating me turned into strength. How could I leave my little one in those moments?
We were very close to each other every second, I didn't accept that nobody but me would take care of him for the dailies, fed him like a child, showered him and everything.
Since her cancer developed so fast and was extremely aggressive, my small one spent most of its time in agony.
I've read so many pages, I've put so many music, and videocassette movies, because it felt like she looked and felt like she used to.
My soul was leaving with him. We were leaving together! We talked about most things, but one of the most difficult things to discuss was her death and my life afterward. She was too smart to hide the truth and without saying, I don't want to die in the hospital!
So we took him home. I knew her that when she was a little girl with braids for six years, we were connected.
When I saw it cast me off in the sight of day by day, my heart was cut in pieces. I've contacted doctors from Austria to Turkey. Hanging on to video cameras hoping one of them would tell me: Bring it on!
But no, no chance for survival for my little one. One of the last things he told me was “Let me go”. I promised him I would always love him. One day we'll meet! I was with him when he took his last breath, it was so painful”, the boy writes.
