Mushkolaj said the race in Pristina will be very strong. Ahmeti has a serious opponent and he is Arba Abashi from LDK.
According to him, even going to Shpend Ahmeti's runoff with each candidate would mean defeat.
The “Gara for Pristina is interesting and strong. Shpend Ahmeti aims to win Pristina without a run-off, but this will be a challenge for him. The main contender has Arban Abrashin of LDK, a party that is very important to restore Pristina, as well as Vetevendosje to keep it. For Ahmeti, the loss is even to go to a run-off with Abrashin or another candidate”, Mushkolaj has told Blic newspaper.
The analyst further stressed that political parties know how to make unrecognized mathematics in the runoff, and the result will be unpredictable.
The “in the run-off political parties know how to make unexpected maths, so the result is unpredictable. Otherwise, Pristina citizens have a good electoral offer”, he said.
Otherwise, today the second day of the pre-election campaign continues, where political subjects will present programmes in municipalities, mayoral candidates and those for municipal assemblies.
The campaign will last a month. The Central Election Commission has certified 91 political subjects -- out of them 1 coalition, 35 political parties, 30 civic initiatives and 25 independent candidates for mayors or for Communist countries -- in various municipalities.
Local elections will be held on 22 October.
