Macron shocks with comment on Erdogan

France's new president, Emmanuel Macron, has surprised with a recent statement saying that his life as world leader is less <x0-> attractive than he could think of, and as an argument for this gave the fact that he is obliged to speak often with a leader like Erdogan. Asked by magazine [...]
Asked by magazine “Le Point” in an interview if he was trying to become the attractive “feming” on the global scene, Macro replied: “The global scene is not a very attractive scene, you know”.
When asked to give an example, he said: “I am the one who should speak to Erdogan every 10 days”.
Erdogan has often been criticised by leaders in Western Europe and has clashed with the EU on issues like human rights, etc.
The last conversation made public between Macroni and Erdogan took place on August 27th, when they discussed the fate of a French journalist arrested and imprisoned in Turkey.
Macron, too, has been obliged to discuss issues of the Middle East and the war in Syria often with Erdogan, follows the tvklan.al.
The statement has been described as shocking by the Turkish media, which report that after publishing the interview, members of the Macro team have clarified that the declaration has not been intended to ridicule Erdogan but has been made in the context of the fact that conversations with him are always very serious.
In a response after media reports, Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci said that Macro “should not forget that talking to Erdogan is a blessing to him”.
He went on to say that Macron, when he writes his memoirs “will boast, saying I spoke to Erdogan”.
