A second person has been arrested in connection with Friday's attack at a London train station. Police say they have arrested a 21-year-old in Hounslow, west of the British capital, on Saturday night, following suspicions of terrorism-related violations.
An 18-year-old was detained earlier, even this suspect of terrorism violations, following the explosion at the “Parsons Green” station, which caused 30 injuries. This previous man was arrested on Saturday morning at the Port of Dover.
The level of readiness for a possible terrorist attack still remains <x0cricic”, implying that one is inevitably expected.
Police have already focused on searching into a house in the suburb of “Sunbury on Thames” of the Surrey area. The house in question belongs to an elderly couple known for caring for hundreds of children, including refugees.
Ronald Jones, 88, and Penelope Jones, 71, have been honoured for their services to children even by Queen Elizabeth II in 2010. The couple are said to have left home to stay with their friends at the time of the police raid, during which houses were evacuated.
Their neighbour, Alison Griffiths, has said that the elderly couple had an 18-year-old and a 22-year-old one they cared about recently, but she has described them both as “large groups of community”, as they “do a job that many others cannot do”.
