KSF co-operation deepening discussed with KFOR

Minister of the Ministry for the Kosovo Security Force(MFSK), Mr Rrustem Berisha, hosted today, for the first time at the meeting, KFOR Commander General Giovanni Fung.

At the meeting of Minister Berisha and General Fungo discussed the security situation in our country and also for good co-operation between the Ministry for the Kosovo Security Force and the KFOR Peacekeeping Corps, as well as plans and concrete activities for future co-operation.

In this case, Minister Berisha said that, during his mandate, he would commit to further advance the excellent relations cultivated so far between the Ministry for KSF and KFOR.

Similarly, Minister Berisha said that, along with the development and advancement of the KSF, it is working on the plan to transform the KSF into the Armed Forces, and that this will be done with full consensus with the internal factor and in co-operation with strategic partners, being transparent at every step of the process.

For his part, KFOR Peacekeeping Corps Commander Giovanni Fongo said that KFOR and KSF have very concrete co-operation reports, not only with formal meetings and exchanges but also with joint field exercises and activities, in which separate KFOR and KSF units are conducting joint exercises.

Finally, General Fungo announced that they are on the verge of completing the planning process for some concrete joint activities that will be realised in co-operation. KFOR-KSF, and that such co-operation will continue in the future.
