Mary quickly intensified into a big storm, according to the WECH in America. The eye is expected to move through the Leeward Islands later Monday. The storm center was about 60 miles (95 km) east of Martinique, with maximum winds of 120 km /h.
The storm is taking the lead in islands destroyed by Hurricane Irma, in the direction of Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Haiti. Maria is expected to achieve further strengthening over the next 48 hours, according to the National Uranean Centre. The storm could wind up at 150 mph on Tuesday, which would make it a storm of Catagoria 4.
