Iran tested the new anti-missile Bahar 373 system, similar to the Russian S-300, which will be licensed for the armed forces by March 2018, while state television also published today a secret base of monitoring and combative fears.
The entire system has been completed and tests conducted”, the commander for antiaircraft protection, General Farzad Esmail, quoted by the state television website, announced.
“This system has been fully produced in Iran, and some parts are different from S-300”, he added, stressing that Iranians seek to use it in parallel with the Russian defence system S-300, passes to Atsh.
Iran had decided to become involved in the production of Bavar 373 when Russia suspended in 2010 a contract reached three years earlier under the system's système S-300 supply.
