He has warned an ethnic civil war in case Kurdistan becomes an independent state. Erdogan has said those words after the Iraqi government has ruled out talks on possible Kurdistan secession.
Turkey's president, Recep Tayip Erdogan, in his speech to the presidential palace in Ankara, has warned Iraqi Kurds that they will die of hunger when Turkey will block the passage of trucks across the border.
He added that all economic and military options are under consideration, in response to the Kurdish referendum held in northern Iraq. According to the first results, over 90 per cent of voters have told “Po” independence. Final results will appear on November 27th.
