Democracy in Action has held today a media conference where it has unveiled its activities for local elections.
Albert Krasniqi from DnV said they have recruited 61 observers who will cover the campaign, while 2500 observers for election day have engaged in the 30-day campaign.
The main goal, according to him, will be to respect the code of courtesy by political parties.
“DNV remains committed to reporting on all cases of courtesy code violations. We call on the parties to abide by the code of courtesy not to impose a poster where it is prohibited by law. Don't use public resources for campaigning. Don't use your children in an organized way in the campaign. From political subjects we call on to provide equal opportunities for all social groups in particular of women”, Krasniqi said.
While Ismet Kryeziu from this organisation said the other activity is the creation of platforms for women candidates.
“We are working mainly with the Roma community and the Ashkali for their education and participation in the voting process. By vote we can affect the quality of our lives. People who have integrity. By vote we make the difference. The campaign is designed dbe includes aimed at promoting citizens for participating in this election process. The CEC is doing enough work for continued education to ward off invalid votes. During this process we will have daily and weekly reports based on developments in the field.”, Kryeziu said.
