One of the most vocal analysts who had criticised recent developments regarding current policy, Adon Demi, has said that declaring independence in 2008 has been the only one not to be targeted.
According to him, this has made that, in the absence of a common power goal, Periscopi broadcasts.
This is the full response of analyst Agon Demi:
Among the reasons why we are repeated institutional crises now and several years is the lack of a common social goal. We had such a purpose until the end of the years, "80s, when we aimed at status equal to other republics. We had such a purpose during the 1990s, when the collective goal was to remove Serbian occupation and gain freedom. We had such a purpose until 2008, when we were able to declare independence.
As if this society was enough to declare independence, and after 2008 we have no purpose. So in the absence of a common purpose, power has become a goal. And this power is being used for personal purposes of enriching and empowering certain individuals and families.
For those aimed at power at any cost, it does not matter to the recognitions and integrations, for that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is led by an illiterate; it does not matter to foreign investments, for that the Ministry of Economic Development will be guided by the one who has the indictments of Kosovo in foreign courts; it does not matter agriculture, for that the minister will be guided by someone who does not recognise the state of Kosovo.
To give a sense to the state, we need a new collective goal. We need a society that sets itself up to fill the state with substance, which guarantees civic freedoms, which guarantee economic freedom, where schools educate, and where hospitals heal.
And this political class, which is aimed at power for their own purposes, cannot achieve this collective goal. Until then, we'll continue to elect a bush to state institutions.
