Students for students at Pristina University can apply by September 15th, in branches which still have free countries. The projector at “University, Hasan Pristina”, Naser Sahiti, announced to Radio Kosovo that in almost all academic entities there are free countries, exempting some programmes where the number has been completed in the first term.
“According to the contest, we can all accept in the second term two thousand and 461 students, of whom 1,000 and 827 are regular and 634 with corruption. These are added to the quotas reserved by the families of the martyrs, the non-plete communities, and the populated Albanian areas. As for free countries where students can apply, almost all faculties have free seats, except the Faculty of Education and the Jurydic. In all other academic entities, there are free countries, but not in all programmes”, Sahiti said.
Prorector Sahiti explained that the minimum threshold that should be met by student candidates is 40 percent of the points of the admission exam.
“This means that applicants can complete more than 40 percent of the receiving exam. They will rank, but does not mean that they will automatically be accepted. Those with more scores will be accepted, and if the number is met with candidates with more scores and who have completed the 40 percent, the others remain outside. In this direction there will be no increase in numbers, because we have as much capacity”, Sahiti said.
As for the master level contest, Sahiti said preparations are being finalised and the competition for this level of studies will soon be public. Meanwhile, the University of Pristina has made all preparations for the start of the new 2017/2018 academic year.
