The Central Election Commission has made a decision to decertify 86 candidates for municipal assembly and candidates for mayoralties by 8 votes for 1 abstention and 1 against.
With this decision the candidate of the Prizren Initiative for Kosovo for Chairman Zafir Berisha is dequatified and unable to compete for Prizren's first.
CEC members were divided over this decision.
CEC member Ashref Visi of the Initiative for Kosovo said he opposes it after calling it unfair.
Adnan Rrustemi, from Vetevendosje, demanded that those convicted of either a violation of communications not leave the list, but remove those who are convicted of corruption or other serious crimes.
Even Betim Djoshi, from the PDK, said the law is arbitrary and puts all convicts in a bag, whether for communications sentences or other sentences.
He said that for this law it should be changed immediately from the Kosovo Assembly because the law is arbitrary. However, he said that despite this law must be implemented. /B. Syla.
