We're looking for it every day. I don't think he's dead”, General Stephen Townsend, commander of the coalition against Islamic State, said.
The leader of the extremist group, Abu Bakr al-Baghdad, has been reported several times dead. In June, the Russian Army has said it may have been killed in an air strike in Syria.
U.S. Commander, Townsend, said he didn't see “convincing proven” for his death.
“We also have some indicators in the intelligence channels that he is still alive”, ToWnst said.
