Fetland's small 98 hectares farm north of Roes ís village farther north of Shetland has been of David Murray's family for more than 150 years, the “Mail” reported, broadcast Periscopi.
It is for sale for 595,000 English pounds along with three smaller farms, one of which has a four-bedroom family home.

Fethaland, which is popular with pedestrians and tourists, boasts a rich heritage, with evidence of human settlements from prehistoric times, and incredible opportunities to see killer whales, seabirds and owls.
This settlement includes the old fishing station that was founded in the 15th and 16th centuries, which became the largest in Shetland before being abandoned in 1906.

Owner David Murray blames health reasons for the sale. His father, Douglas Murray, was the last person to be born there before heading north to Roes in 1944.
It includes the continent's northernmost point, containing a number of archaeological artefacts, including an iron house and a Viking mine.

The peninsula is also part of a special scientific interest, protected and managed by the Scottish Natural Heritage./Periscopi/
